Arp wave treatment promises to alleviate bone on bone hip joint pain. In their ads they say that you can avoid hip replacement surgery and get rid of hip pain with arp wave treatments. The treatment is via skype video phone. The company sends the treatment device and a camera to the client. The first guided treatment is free, after that, the entire treatment series costs $2000.00. The main office is in Apple Valley, MN. Due to a bad injury 10 years ago, the cartilage in the hip joint is worn down. There is no more fluid to lubricate the joint and movement is bone on bone. Has anyone had arp wave treatment for this condition?
I want to disagree with the previous writer. If you are under the age of 70 DO NOT get a hip replacement. It is true, they are almost always successful, but here is what success is. The implant is put in correctly and you have no infection. That’s called surgical success. What they are not telling you is an implant only lasts 15 years (or less) so if you are under 70 years of age, count on getting a second one. Second, 4 out of 10 people go back and get their second hip replaced. Why? Because while the operation treats the static aspect of your hip (the bone), the surgery does not address the dynamic portion of your hip (muscles, ligaments). This means a successful operation but does not mean you are functional.
Look up the treatment AposTherapy. Good clinical research and documentation in PubMed and elsewhere. I had it for my lower back and I just got back from a 17K walk this morning.
Arp wave is a joke. Don’t waste your money.

I am 15 weeks 3 days prego (3 3/4 months) and I have intolerable tailbone pain. I can’t sit and if I do I have to sit on the edge of my buttocks, when I lay down I have to lay down on my side and if I lay for too long I have difficulty getting up because my left hip and leg cramp up and hurts terribly and when I get up from bed I have a hard time walking because I feel the pain and get weak. This pain started on Friday. I haven’t fell or anything and I’ve never had tailbone pain before. I know it’s common to have this pain during pregnancy or after but how common is it to have it this early on and so painful? Before the pain started I was walking on the treadmill for 30-50 mins. I have stopped now. Will this tailbone pain cause me to go on bed rest? And to get a cesarean when I give birth? I will see my doctor tomorrow but want to know if anyone has experienced this? Thanks.
This pain hurts more while sitting and getting up… while walking its fine.
Thanks! I feel so relieved =)
That sucks so bad. I had that but from week 28 and on. If I sat it was hell to get up, it was horrible getting out of bed etc..
You won’t go on bed rest for that or need a c section.
You’ll be fine.
pain on outer side of hip between the knee and hip area, outer body area ( not from any injury)?
I have pain on the right side of my hip between the hip and knee. Not from any injury, just seems to be there. It is worse to sleep as it then aches so much making it so hard to sleep. I am not sure if its the muscles or the bone. I have started noticing now that my left leg around the same area is doing it to now when i sleep that way. I have tried taking aspirin and it doesn’t help. It gets terribly painful to sleep on the side. The pain seems to always be there however sort of moves around a bit but always between the knee and hip area. Some days worse than others. It is worse when i sleep and not as bad during the day. Any ideas as to what it could be and how to cure it?
Just because I am an EMT I would never give advice without suggesting that you actually see a doctor for something like this. Internet can only do so much in way of diagnosing and curing pains and problems.
I would suggest that when you are sleeping try doing so with a body pillow between your legs, or any pillow placed between your legs. I know someone with other health problems that has also had difficulty with pain in the area you are describing. When I watched her lay down I noticed that based on the way she settled her hips she was putting strain on her hips causing pain between hip and knee. Once She placed a pillow between her legs (upper thigh, knee) she fixed that alignment without even thinking about it and her pain decreased substantially. Just a suggestion.
Added Nov 22:
You could also try one of those Select Comfort beds. It got rid of my Dad’s lower back pain, my Sister’s upper back pain, and my Mom’s various pains decreased (that and the pillow between her legs.

Pain near my left hip when you sneeze, what could I do?
Not a sharp pain in my region of the left hip joint when you sneeze. I took all the country earlier this year and shortly after my return, I had the same pain in the same place but it was in substantial compliance. Some days, it would be a dull ache all day with severe pain when I moved into certain directions. I went to the doctor, but he said it was probably only a muscle pull after sitting a long time and I need to stretch more. Never lasted longer and was slowly on its own, but now it's back, but only when sneezing (which was one of the things that aggravate even more when I had the same pain earlier this year). I guess my question is if someone else had symptoms like this and if so, what is the cause? All I could think is sciatica worse. Edit: Yes, it was removed in September and is only now showing a backup. Unfortunately, I had to deal with the military medical system to get a proper diagnosis is difficult.
Sounds like a problem with the hip or spine can lead to sciatica. Sitting too long, especially drive or do computer work puts abnormal pressure on the hip joint and back and cause pain. When you sneeze, the joints are compressed and urge the sciatic nerves where the pain. Yes, because it helps stretch joint and separate relieved sciatic nerve. A new method called inversion seems to be very effective and can be done at home if you buy a device running ago that costs about $ 400-600 depeding in the model. Search the Internet so you can get cheaper. Be blessed

IF i’m preg. i would prob be less than 4 weeks. im worried at what the pain could be? im going to DR soon an will ask him. but I want someone who is female and had this pain?
Definitely go to the doctor…but from experience with bot having kids and having cysts I would definitely say you are more likely having a cyst and if it hurts or gets to a more painful level you should just go to the ER.Good Luck!

Your dog or cat suffering from arthritis? We believe that arthritis and joint pain, according to the condition human, but dogs are also common. Did you know that 60 million Americans suffer from arthritis dogs? If you notice something off alone with her dog, but do not know exactly what could be the cause, here are some common symptoms of the animals of joint pain:
* Reluctance to walk, climb stairs, jump or
* Lameness
* Late in the horizon
Difficulty getting out of a position rest
* Cries of pain to the touch and resistant to being touched
* A change in personality due to pain
There are several medical conditions they may pose to the joint pain of Fido. Check out some of these descriptions to identify which best suits your pet's illness.
Osteoarthritis is a chronic, slowly progressive condition that is caused by the degradation and destruction your pet's cartilage. As this occurs, the bony structures begin to rub against each other causing pain and discomfort.
degenerative joint disease implies a breakdown or destruction of parts of the joint, usually cartilage. As in the case of osteoarthritis, this condition does not necessarily mean that your pet has a problem inflammation.
Hip dysplasia is a malformation characterized by the "ball and joint" socket in your animal. As expected, this combination of ill-fitting causes a series of complications. In this case, chronic inflammation is common, calcium deposits occur, no pain and muscle tissue in the surrounding areas began to decay.
Elbow dysplasia is a disease like that is usually inherited and most often in large breed dogs. Bones become malformed results and generally in "Bonechips" which are very painful. In general, your pet will have limp when suffering from this condition.
Knee dysplasia is also characterized by malformed bones and bone chips. It is painful and often avoided the animal is lame and / or disease progression of lameness.
The knee joint typically involves torn knee ligaments, causing joint instability. The dislocation of the joint (knee) is also a problem. Inflammation is common since this is a city that is subject to much stress and tension. In most cases it is the result of poor breeding.
Osteochondrosis is a condition that is in front of a health problem that results poor breeding. Or a poor diet can also cause this condition (two factors may be involved.) It is characterized by cartilage deterioration and tissue generally both inflamed and painful.
Hypertrophic involves excessive growth of bone and / or "push" themselves together. In such situations, the animal usually knows a lot of pain.
degeneration of the shoulder is usually a multifactorial situation to make a clear cause difficult to isolate. An unstable joint osteochondrosis or even trauma may be the cause or perhaps a combination of factors.
If one or more of these conditions seem to be affecting your dog be sure to consult your veterinarian. classic dog and cat pain involves a common routine that is very similar to those proposed for humans, including changes in diet, regular exercise and the incorporation of taking anti-inflammatory to relieve swelling and pain.
Over the counter medications like aspirin can deaden the pain, but do nothing to address your pet's arthritis. Possible side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, nausea and cramps. ethnovets may recommend requirements for steroid medication. However, due to the many potential side effects of these drugs, including problems in the liver and kidney, vomiting, ulcers and excessive urination, more and more pet owners are turning to the community natural dog care. Studies show that natural resources can be as effective as prescription medications to relieve muscle and joint pain, without side effects potential of these drugs based on chemicals.

Absolutely the most important part of making hip hop beats is the drum pattern. If you want to make beats you must learn how to program patterns correctly and make them interesting, memorable, and danceable. When making hip hop beats you need to understand what the different drum parts are and what they do. you probably already know what the snare is – it is the most prominent beat in the pattern. the bass drum keeps the rhythm of the melody and bass line and the hi hats keep the timing and add syncopation. these parts are the basics of a live drum kit. everything other drum part is usually used to add accenting and a little more flavor. The snare beat is an anchor point in the pattern, depending in the timing. To simplify it, the snare beat is beat you would intuitively clap along to the pattern on. As an example, think of “In Da Club” by 50 Cent. This song actually uses a “clap” sound on the snare part, so that is an easy illustration. The bass drum beat on the same song accents and follows the synthesizer horn hits. Listen to the “horn” sounding part and notice how the bass drum always hits on those notes too. This is a general rule but it goes a long way in making your hip hop beats match your melody and bass lines. Also in this song, he hi hats are replaced with what sound like more of a shaker, equally breaking up the pattern on eighth and quietly on sixteenth notes. The hi hats can be opened or closed and on certain beats, they can eve be dropped out on certain notes, and used in a very non-steady, syncopated way to completely change what the beat sounds like.

Hi, I am looking for an exercise video that is kind to bad knees. I am not looking for a video that is for bad knees. I want a workout video to tone the whole body. I am 67, and 150 lbs. I have always been fit, but am finding it hard to button up shorts that I wore last year. I had a hip replacement a year ago, and have a knee that gives me trouble. I am hoping that there is someone out there that can clue me in on a good video to purchase. Hope so!! thanks
Maybe you can try Winsor Pilates–this will tone you up and it’s good for all ages and fitness levels, and it should be easy on your knees. If you want to lose a few extra pounds you’ll only get that by modifying your diet. If you eat more than what you burn (even if you exercise) you will gain weight and if you eat less than what you burn (even if you don’t exercise) you’ll still lose.
Try eating 1200 cals a day in a 50% protein/30% Good carbs like veggies and 20% fat (good fat from olive oil and flax etc). You can track all your calories on a free website called fitday.com.
No amount of exercise works without the proper diet.
During this time, he or she should discuss all of the any potential risks involved with the procedure as well as all of the alternative measures. However, a decision is made to continue with the surgery, the doctor will recommend a procedure that he feels is best suited for the patient’s condition and then will explain what that procedure entails.
Note that sometimes before surgery, doctors prescribe blood-thinning medication and advise you to do various joint movement activities or exercises in order to increase circulation. Some benefits of going the surgery route can include the stabilization, improved alignment or replacement of a joint so that you can have greater mobility, flexibility, overall use and range-of-motion. Surgery may also be able to provide some level of pain relief where other treatment options might have failed.
Be aware there are possible risks with surgery, though, like blood clots resulting. And your healthcare specialist may advise against surgery if, for example, you have existing health problems that could pose possible unwanted risks. Some of these problems could include sickness or infections that would need to be healed first, being over weight, which could cause more stress and delayed recovery, lung problems or heart disease.
Common types of surgery used in the treatment of arthritis follow:
Arthrodesis – This is the joining together or fusion of joint bones. Arthrodesis helps stop the progression of the disease at the point of fusion, ending the pain. Loss of the joint’s flexibility can result. However, the area will be better able to handle weight and offer general movement. In other words, the joint may not be 360-degree-flexible any longer, but there will be some lesser-degree of flexibility overall without pain.
Arthroplasty – This is the replacement or rebuilding of an entire joint. And it is intended for those with high-level pain and movement impairment. It is discussed in much more detail in the section immediately following this one, offering a focus with regards to hip replacement.
Arthroscopy – Growing more popular with the improved use of technology, this procedure is when specialized instruments are inserted into the joint by means of tiny incisions. During this surgery, the operating physician has helping staff members who aid the computerized monitoring and some handling of the instruments. The doctor can see the joint on closed-circuit television and make repairs to it, while talking through a microphone. Then not only are there physical results, but the patient has a video with audio record of the entire occurrence for insurance and other records. Arthroscopy is often performed on an outpatient basis. And recovery time is generally much less than with other “open” surgery.
Osteotomy – This is a medical procedure that makes an actual cut in the bone, most generally to correct youth deformities like in the knee or hip. Osteotomy helps with re-alignment, stabilization, pain relief and the delaying of joint replacement alternatives for up to 10 years.
Synovectomy – This procedure, generally done via arthroscopy, involves the removal of diseased joint tissue lining or synovium. Results can include swelling decrease, pain relief, improved but not completely healed joint health.
Joint Replacement There are currently many options in orthopedic (bone) surgery for people with arthritis. Joint replacement is the most common option. According to the National Joint Replacement Foundation, (NJRF) over 435,000 Americans underwent this procedure last year. These numbers have boosted joint replacement to one of the most successful medical discoveries and the absolute most significant surgery in the field of arthritis treatment. Joint replacement is the process of removing one’s entire joint as well as any damaged tissue and replacing it with a metal prosthesis.
This prosthesis provides the patient with much need relief from pain. This surgery most effective on the weight bearing joints such as the knees, hips, and ankles, however, it has been used for all joints with successful results.
Hip replacement surgery consists of removing the entire hip joint and replacing it with artificial components. These components function in the same manner as the natural hip, with the same type of motion. When a patient elects to undergo hip replacement surgery, they have an option to use their own blood. There is a great loss of blood during the procedure, and patients are prepared for this ahead of time. They can elect to have their own blood taken and stored ahead of time so that when they need a transfusion, they can use blood from their own body, eliminating many of the risks associated with transfusions.
This particular procedure begins with an initial incision. The surgeon will then proceed to remove the entire hip joint, including the ball, socket, and top of the femur. Once the joint, and all damaged tissue is removed, a metal cup is adhered to the pelvic bone. Then, a metal stem is inserted into the femur; leaving a portion exposed at the end for several inches. The doctors place a ball on the end of the exposed portion of the metal rod, and all of the exposed parts are lined with another antifriction material. The hip is reassembled, placing the ball joint into the socket and the incision is then closed.
Fusion Arthrodesis, or bone fusion, is another optional procedure where the bones are fused together in order to prevent them from moving independently. This can be done two ways:
1. Bone Grafting is the method of stimulating fusion between two bones by placing a small piece of bone, from another region of the body, in between. This small piece of bone encourages growth for the surrounding bones, thus fusing them in place.
2. Implantation of a metal or ceramic piece, which is adhered to each of the two bones, using either screws or a special glue, thus preventing movement of the bones. Fusion is a common procedure and is used in conjunction with joint replacement surgery, which is more extreme of a procedure then bone fusion alone.
During a procedure called Ostheo, doctors can evaluate the injured tissue and eliminate any loose material with the use of instruments that are inserted into the joint through little incisions in the skin. During the procedure, the surgeon can observe any damage to the joint on a closed-circuit television, and further remove any loose growths that could be the origin of pain. This sort of surgery can often be executed on an outpatient basis, and typically involves a shorter recovery stage than open/inpatient surgery.
Rehabilitation times for joint replacement surgery vary from one person to the next. However, the average person has been shown to regain most functions within three weeks. A positive attitude can help to facilitate recovery. It is important for patients to participate in this by reassuring themselves as well as seeking support from support groups, family, and friends.
Regardless of they type of surgery recommended, most people recommend getting at least one other opinion before proceeding. In addition, check out books, conduct your own online research, ask questions through health chat rooms, call your own local providers and learn all you can about your health condition. And if you do decide upon surgery, look and plan ahead, too. Will you need time off work? Someone to help around the house? Someone to run errands? Line up help with neighbors, friends, church members, family, co-workers and local services to pick up groceries, bring in the mail, clean house and basically keep things running in the interim. In short, take charge and reach out.

the knee replacement surgery in India is world class and patients get huge savings. Patients in the UK, USA and Canada increasingly prefer India as a destination number of joint replacements of the knee, hip and shoulder and hip resurfacing. Indians are well-trained surgeons and hospitals India have an infrastructure on par with the West. A large population of fault insurance "baby boomers" and can not afford private treatment systems West socialized health care has stimulated the demand for joint replacements. High success rate, procedure costs affordable, safe surgery, are the main factors to attract foreign patients in hospitals in India.
The costs are very reasonable and lower than a similar procedure in countries like Thailand, Singapore, the South American countries and the amount to one tenth of the cost of the West. The price range of 5000 – 7000 U.S. dollars, has been cited for a replacement knee, according to the type of implant chosen and the type of accommodation. Implants and prostheses are designed and manufactured in the west and is approved by the FDA. In some cases, implants are not approved by the FDA as the Birmingham hip, knee Oxford, were available in India before being granted United States.
If you know your surgeon is trained, it is comforting. Hospital infrastructure is vital. Operating rooms in some major Indian hospitals provide "Ultra Clean Air" with the ideal configuration. exponential laminar air is ideal where the air is changed 25 times per hour. The air supply is treated with special HEPA (high efficiency particulate filters, air) with a yield of 99.99%, while the risk of infection is reduced
