Hip Pain Kidney Cancer

Sunday, September 4th, 2011

Does this sound like a kidney infection (please read if you have any medical knowledge at all)?

im a fourteen year old female, and not sexually active. Around four months ago i started needing to visit the loo for a pee every few minutes, and little or nothing came out. I didn’t tell my mom as i didn’t want to worry her, but four months on i haven’t urinated properly at all, im also getting rib pain, back pain, hip pain, stomach ache and side pain. But the thing is, im not urinating as much as i was, i urinate around four times a day and very little comes out, and the pee is a very dark colour. I also never seem to feel thirsty lately.
I have told my mom and she said it was silly of me for not telling her earlier, and that i might have a kidney infection. The pain isn’t severe but its constant.
Im going to the doctors on monday.
what does this sound like? im worried it might be something serious like cancer! What would be the odds of me having cancer also?
thank you for any answers in advance

It sounds like a bladder infection to me, or kidney stones. Only a doctor can know for sure. Make sure you tell the doctor all of this. Do not leave anything out. Hope I helped :)

after a hip replacement operation
year ten science:please help:”What type of joint is the hip joint”?

i need some info for some research:
What type of joint is the hip joint?
Two reasons why plastic is used to make artificial hip joints
why is a high calcium diet essential after a hip replacement operation?
THANK YOU

its a ball and socket joint
plastic is noncorrosive and low coeffeciant of friction
whent he surgery is done the socket is ground out so the new ball fits in perfectly this increases the risk of fracture so calcium is a must for preventative measures

Hip Pain Sleep On Side

Monday, August 22nd, 2011

hip pain sleep on side
pain on outer side of hip between the knee and hip area, outer body area ( not from any injury)?

I have pain on the right side of my hip between the hip and knee. Not from any injury, just seems to be there. It is worse to sleep as it then aches so much making it so hard to sleep. I am not sure if its the muscles or the bone. I have started noticing now that my left leg around the same area is doing it to now when i sleep that way. I have tried taking aspirin and it doesn’t help. It gets terribly painful to sleep on the side. The pain seems to always be there however sort of moves around a bit but always between the knee and hip area. Some days worse than others. It is worse when i sleep and not as bad during the day. Any ideas as to what it could be and how to cure it?

Just because I am an EMT I would never give advice without suggesting that you actually see a doctor for something like this. Internet can only do so much in way of diagnosing and curing pains and problems.
I would suggest that when you are sleeping try doing so with a body pillow between your legs, or any pillow placed between your legs. I know someone with other health problems that has also had difficulty with pain in the area you are describing. When I watched her lay down I noticed that based on the way she settled her hips she was putting strain on her hips causing pain between hip and knee. Once She placed a pillow between her legs (upper thigh, knee) she fixed that alignment without even thinking about it and her pain decreased substantially. Just a suggestion.

Added Nov 22:
You could also try one of those Select Comfort beds. It got rid of my Dad’s lower back pain, my Sister’s upper back pain, and my Mom’s various pains decreased (that and the pillow between her legs.

Hip Replacement Pain Symptoms

hip replacement pain symptoms
Anyone have advice for someone age 30 who is facing hip replacement?

I’m 30 years old and facing possible hip replacement due to a malformed right hip joint at birth. I had hip reconstruction as a toddler and after that was quite mobile but with a bit of an unusual gait. I was very active in highschool and college and enjoyed running and kickboxing. About three years ago I began to feel some symptoms of arthritis which seems to be a somewhat strange disease because some days my pain is a level 8 or 9 and other days I feel fine. My activities are much more limited now because of that. I have seen a couple of orthopedists the past three years and both are well thought of in their field and both say that I am definitely facing replacement. People say that someone my age should put it off as long as possible and part of me feels that too but at the same time if the surgery will improve my gait and get rid of the pain then I want to have the courage to do it. I’m conflicted and scared about all that’s involved in this major surgery!

The procedure of hip replacement is common in the elderly but is also done in the young with congenital problems such as yours and various other reasons.
There has been a lot of advances in the procedure . You might be surprised with the outcome ! and even will say that had you known it was going to be this great relief from discomfort- you would have done it YEARS ago !
Here is one of those procedure improvements-

Hip Pain Pregnancy Treatment

hip pain pregnancy treatment
25 weeks pregnant and fell at store, any suggestions for self help since I can’t receive treatment?

I fell last week face first into a box of gazebos at the store and fell in a push up like position with my stomach making impact directly on the edge of one of the boxes. I was taken to the hospital where the baby was monitored and seemed to be doing very well.

I am so happy the baby was fine, but I hurt so bad and cannot receive treatment. I think I hurt my rotator cuff and my left hip feels out of whack, if I push on it when I walk the pain lessens.

Has anyone out there been injured during pregnancy and have any suggestions for self help>?

Thank heaven that the baby is fine and kudos to you for making sure…..I just had a baby 7 weeks ago and for any kind of pain I would take Tylenol. However, for the pain you are describing I would have my family practitioner take a look at you. Maybe there is physical therapy for that kind of injury. Also there are several perscription pain killers that are safe to take during pregnancy. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy….

Extreme Hip Pain During Pregnancy

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

she is only 6 weeks!?

then I'll start by saying that he had no such easy pregnancies. Morninq was sick until 22 weeks, my hips, non-aligned countries, the past 2 months I have had all the signs of preeclampsia, but all tests were negative, I had carpal tunnel in both wrists, causing extreme pain in the wrist and elbow during the night, I had excruciating pain in the hip, leading sometimes to crawl to the bathroom. Needless to say would have been much worse, I know, but it could have been much better now so I do not understand why I feel this way .. Okay, here qoes. my babyqirl is of 6 weeks from today =) and I feel like I want another baby and now I think not, at least not yet. since it was my first baby I think it's just kind of saddness beinq preqnant no, I do not know! As makinq me feel this way?

Your hormones do not want any other when looking down and seeing that sweet face looking ago? :) Actually, I think most people refer to it as the baby amnesia and is probably the reason most women are more children. I have 2 children (2 years 3 months), but # 1 was a horrible delivery and the baby has colic and # 2 was a horrible pregnancy, all I have to do is shoot a quiet sleep or take a mouthful of hair and I immediately want to get pregnant again. It's crazy.
