Illness with a symptom of STRETCH MARKS?
What would cause red, painfull raised stretchmarks all over a young woman’s (19) body. This person has gained some weight recently, but the stretch marks were severe even before she gained and they are even on parts of her body where there is not much fat (lower back, calves, forearms as well as hips, upper arms, thighs). They look horrible 
She has also been having sudden vomiting and stomach pain. That happened twice. NO, she’s not pregnant. She already took a test.
Her primary dr. has no clue so is sending her to an endo, in the meantime… Any ideas?? She looks horrible
Cushing’s syndrome, caused by too much cortisol – this is the first thing the endocrinologist will test for. Especially if you say she’s gained weight. And especially if the weight is mainly around her belly, while her arms and legs are still about the same size they were before.
