after hip replacement exercises
Coud this condition causes amy took the medication as Fosamax?

I take Fosamax, but because of the warnings cause jaw problems, I stopped taking it. I get tired easily, but still live a very active life, like walking on the treadmill, two exercise EMV classes three times a week and a bowling league once a week, so I consider myself healthy enough, I have a hip replacement three years and I have two stents in my heart, but I am still very active, but I'm tired, having completed and will soon have more than 81 years that could affect this.

Neglect Fosamax should not make you tired. You should take osteoporsis something for your good. In When was the last time you saw your doctor? Perhaps that is ready for a blood count or laboratory may have to help determine the cause of his fatigue. It seems that you are a getter "and it would be great if you can stay active! Good luck and remember to check with your doctor!

Solutions for back pain sufferers?

My mother has suffered with back and hip pain. After going through many proceedures for numb the pain she was sent to a surgon. The doctor told her to go home. It was too big and not operate on morbidly obese and diabetic than anyone else and that their solution was not to return bariatric surgery but surgery. If he had read his file, would that weight is due to a sluggish thyroid and fact that it is in such pain that it may have that can barely support his granddaughter eight months of age. I think the draft resolutions considered my mother on the basis of their appearance and your medical history and is now abandoned. This RD dashed any hope of my mother to get better. Gastric surgery is not covered by insurance and is too proud have done anyway. She realizes that he is overweight and eats a healthy diet. Has anyone had a similar experience that might suggest what now? Answers serious only please. Thanks

I havent had this particular situation. I have a weight problem due to health and medical problems are a tendency to blame all weight. I think your mother should see if you can get therapy physics. would be useful. The fact is that the doctor is right. operations are very dangerous for people overweight. Most doctors do not usually even gastric bypass surgery if you have more than a certain weight. she must maintain a healthy diet and try to start going for a walk once every three weeks. 20 minutes. no walking speed does not work, just a few minutes walk. makes a big difference. Walking helps back pain too. sorry have no further advice. I hope you begin to feel better

Total Hip Replacement Pain After

total hip replacement pain after
Hi, I have 55 years and subjected to a total hip replacement on June 04 this year, six weeks ago.?

My hip replacement was done six weeks and I had good days and bad and today is a bad day! Physiotherapy Exercise has given me six weeks after my check and one of them really seemed annoying and I think I told you to do to them, but one of the exercises is so painful that really makes me feel sick. The pain in my groin area, where I was pain before I had a new hip joint. I was doing very well because he took one of my crutches and now I am walking with crutches is allowed. I work every day for 30 minutes on an elliptical, which I hope will strengthen my muscles in my hip area. Just wanted to know if anyone else out there has experienced what I saw and I can say that this will eventually be easier in the near future?

I have had knee replacement surgery several years ago and I had similar problems. Even weeks later, I had serious pain and problems are part of the exercises was determined by the physical (although others was easy.) It was an exercise in particular (partial squat) that I almost passed the pain. I really thought something was wrong and that I had never done better but, although it took some time, has been slowly increasing. It took nearly six months for a refund to the extent that I was less before surgery, but after that, things improve lot. Now, three years later, is stronger than ever. I know that the knee is not exactly the same as the hip, but I guess the recovery process is similar. I think what is wrong is that my recovery was very rapid in the first two weeks (I'm still barely able to move his leg when walking – Well, limping – in a few days) so we expect the rate of recovery to continue. However, after the first few weeks of recovery slowed to a crawl and it seemed like I was as good as what has always been achieved, but over the months, I realized I was improving, it's just that the process was so slow that I could not see. Stick with the exercises, which are very important. The more you train, the better your mobility will be possible. You do not need the whole exercise to perfection, only the best I can. Eventually, you will be able to do more and more, but be prepared for it to take a year or more before being completely restored. Hope this helps. TV

Lower Back Hip Pain Stretches

lower back hip pain stretches

Back Stretch ExercisesTo Minimize Back Pain

Stretching the back can minimize back pain. When you stretch the back, you promote healthy joints, muscles, bones, connective tissues, and so on. Stretch exercises are the action of expanding the muscles, which straightens them.

Various types of stretch workouts recline and rest the
aching back. When you perform stretch workouts, you want to make sure that you perform the actions correctly however; otherwise, you can tear tissues, muscles, ligaments, or tendons.

Stretch workouts include the backstretches. To stretch the upper back, start by standing erect. Grip your hands, joining them and extending them behind the back. Next, raise the hands up, out, and stretch as far as your body will allow. Count to five, lower, and move to your starting stance, repeating the same action, counting to five.

Stand erect, and keep your feet at the length of your shoulders. Bend the knees somewhat and lock the fingers, raising the arms to the height of your shoulders. Push the arms ahead while avoid leaning backwards.

Next, stretch the lower back. Sit on the floor, or mat and place the hands at the side. NOTE: This exercise should be avoided unless your doctor advises you otherwise if you have serious back injuries, or pain.

In position, lie flat on your back. Slightly lift the legs, extending them over the head. If possible, extend backwards until your toes are touching the ground surface behind you. Count to five.

Now, lie flat on the floor, mat, etc and lift the upper region of the body. Keep your hands flat on the hard surface and use them for support. Keep the arms in straight line and stretch up slowly while lifting the chin and head.

If your back is hurting, you can also lie flat on a hard surface if your back will allow, and stretch the arms over the head as far as you can reach while stretching the legs down and out as far as you can reach also. Continue until you feel your muscles release. What a great way to reduce back pain!

Additional stretch exercises can help you reduce back pain, as well as avoid future back pain. Stretch workouts can help you avoid injuries as well. The workouts include side, ski, knee flexes, and so forth. Give it a whirl!

Stand erect, and near a hard, supporting surface, such as a chair. Lift the leg at a right angle and support the leg with the chair. Hold and count to five, lower the leg and continue to the opposite side.

Next, perform the knee flexes. Lift your leg and place your foot on a hard surface, such as a chair. Keep the opposite leg straight and use it as support.

Hold the stance and count to ten. Lower the leg and continue to the opposite leg. Now do the ski. Stand erect. Extend one foot to the front and the other to the back. Lunge and gradually lower the weight of your body. Bend the front leg and rest your body weight on the hands. With the behind leg straight and the heel lifted from the ground count to ten and shift to the other leg.

You can continue stretch exercises to minimize pain. The workouts to continue include adductor, groin stretches, hip rotation, gluteals, hamstring stretches and so on. The more you stretch those muscles, the less pain you will feel. You should also stretch the quadriceps, calves, and so on to avoid injuries and back pain. After you finish stretching, you may want to learn how to protect the synovial joints.

My favorite exercise is simply lying flat on your back, and grabbing your knees, then pulling them up towards your head, and then releasing. Oh, What a relief it is! This exercise was recommended to me by a local chiropractor. Happy stretching!

hip replacement and exercises
Anyone’s dog had an elbow replacement?

My german shepherd was limping at 18 months old and x-rays showed terrible deteration of his front elbow & one of his hips. the vet advised he have his elbow done first so that when he eventually has his hip done the front legs can support him. So, he had an elbow replacement 3 months ago and although he is well, has boundless energy and can be exercised for 60 mins a day, he is still limping. The vet assures me that this will correct itself but I thought that after convalescing (is that how you spell it?) he would be right as rain again and not limping. has anyone else had this done to their dog & are they still limping?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I would consider getting a second opinion, or alternatively, asking for a further x-ray to confirm whether the new joint has knitted together properly.

One of my labs was born with ill-fitting elbow joints together with hip displaysure in both legs, and has had a couple of operations on his elbows (though not a replacement) and it can take a good long while to heal properly. The thing we have always been told is that, as far as exercise goes, take it gradually and build him up slowly with walks etc. No running around to start off with, but gentle straight line walking on the lead. Gradually increase the length of walks until he has back to normal.

The positive thing for your dog is that he is still young and has plenty of time to recover.

Good luck and I hope he gets better soon.
