Because it is an important medical problem in the press I’ve preferred to talk about Worldwide warming.

Problems facing the environment today are various and vast. Destruction of the world’s rain forests, the depletion of the ozone layer, polluting of the environment, water pollution, chemical pollution and global warming are just some of the conditions that will reach dangerous proportions in the coming years.

The three areas of world wide warming I will discuss are:

What is worldwide warming? What are the effects of global warming? What’re we doing to reduce global warming?

World wide warming is a greenhouse impact on the Earth. Solar technology is carried to earth by the sun. Extra energy must reradiate back in space through the earth’s environment. But, due to methane in the earth due to emissions from polluters such as cars and factories and increased co2, excess energy is trapped in the earth’s setting and causes a heating of the earth called “Global Warming.”

Starting in the mid-1700s, human activities begun to modify the structure of the environment. Great materials of charcoal, and later oil and coal, fed the increasing fires of the Industrial Revolution. As carbon dioxide – a gas that traps heat in the atmosphere the carbon stored in these powers was published to the air. Today, for every single one of the more than 5.8 million people on the planet, nearly six tons of skin tightening and is spewed into the air annually. As , the gas trapped inside the atmosphere has increased by more than 30 % in the last 250 years a results of our activities. These greenhouse gases which reduce infra-red light from escaping into space, maintain the earth’s temperature comfortable. According to the British Meteorological Office the world is getting hotter each year – In reality 1995 was the hottest year on record.

Charity say that a warmer planet isn’t this kind of bad thing: just look at it’s nearly Christmas and the wonderful weather we are experiencing right now.

So how can global warming possibly hurt us?

In our lifetime, and in on our children’s children’s lifetime we will not be effected. But if we keep on the same speed as now the warmer temperatures are expected to improve the sea level by burning mountain glaciers, expanding ocean water, and melting elements of the Greenland Ice Sheet.

A Un panel of experts has predicted that if greenhouse gas emissions are not reduced, the average global temperature might increase by1. to 3.5. H (1.8. to 6.3. F) by the year 2100. So what are we doing to decrease and hopefully stop this heating of the world?

Last October Vice President Al Gore and the White House hosted a meeting on Global Climate change. The CEO’s of large polluting companies where asked to participate in the talks to reduce emissions in to the earth’s atmosphere. The CEO of Sun Oil Company said that the whole oil business was aiming to cut down wastes from their refineries. Automakers at the convention said which they were engineering the cars of the potential to have fewer and fewer pollutants. As people I and you can do anything to help too. In this state alone we launch about 40,000 pounds of carbon dioxide per person each year. In 10 years we will “lose” about 7000 pounds of co2 emissions per person, if we may reduce energy use enough to decrease greenhouse gas emissions by about 2% a year.

We are able to save energy by postponing lights in empty rooms, making less trips in our cars, adding environment friendly devices in our houses. If you save energy–or use it more efficiently–you not merely save money, the desire is also reduced by you for oil, coal and natural gas. Less burning of these fossil fuels means lower emissions of co2, the major contributor to global warming, help by donating Charity.
