Badly swollen legs in the elderly, please give me your advice allivieating this condition?
My father is 77 years old, very independent and old Irishman is determined to fashion man of great character. However, continuing with swollen feet and legs are actually hindering their quality of life, as they often not really walk, he is on the shelves of water, but learn to take advantage, also had a year ago suffered a knee replacement and before hip replacement. I love my dad a lot, but I am concerned, even if it is the generation that just goes ahead, I feel frustration, fear that become the best of it, any advice will be appreciated grately.
Try to encourage him to keep the legs elevated, diuretics are recommended? (Probably need to take diuretics) sounds like your heart is put to the test .. I really think that your father should see your doctor. Without the medication, which does not do what I suggest little can be done.
